There are presently no professional standards that property managers must meet or formal body having oversight of their performance – unless the property manager is also a licensed real estate agent. In August 2018 Housing Minister, Phil Twyford, said that the Government may look at regulating the residential property managers.
If your property manager is a real estate agent and you are having problems with them, you can contact the Real Estate Authority for advice or to make a complaint.
