Landlords are responsible for ensuring there’s enough water available at their rental property and for maintaining the plumbing and pipes in good working order. If the property isn’t connected to the town water supply, landlords must provide an alternative, e.g. a water tank of sufficient size for collecting and storing water. (Some councils will only let you use rainwater for drinking and washing yourself in if it has been treated first. Check this with your local council.)
